When empty you can't avoid the majesty of it's location. ASU doesn't give you a fraction of that. When crowded with fans
you have one of the best shows in college football complete with one of the top student sections, mascots that entertain along with technical know how for audio, video, lights, pyrotechnics.
ASU when full (which it never is) gives you a meh experience because the fans either don't know or don't care.
