I get that neither had an amazing record overall compared to where we stood after beating Utah, but they're both good teams, especially right now, and both were playing for their lives against us (ASU for the CC game and Kansas for a bowl bid) whereas we had a little more leash (at least in theory). Also, good teams make your team look bad.
Scattebo is an absolute beast that was pounding our D all game long and Kansas beat us as part of a 3 game winning streak against ranked teams that consist of almost the entire the top of the B12. Colorado and Iowa State also just lost to Kansas so they're clearly a better team right now than their record reflects.
I'm not saying I'm happy to be on a two game losing streak, but it's not like losing two in a row against New Mexico and UTEP. We're in a serious conference right now and that means BYU will lose more games. Even if we're out of the CCG or we make it and lose, we're still probably going to go to a very good bowl game this year. The season will be a success.
