.. but it is a new age, and old-school coaches can't last.

My favorite Pearce story... at halftime, the team was down by a ton of points. Dustin comes storming into the locker room, yelling things Batty couldn't imagine... and then picks up a garbage can.. dumps it out.. then proceeds to squat/sit inside it.

"Are you garbage?"
"Because this is where garbage belongs!"
"You're playing like garbage!!"
"This is our new home.. get used to being garbage!"
"your all garbage!!!!!"

(screaming at the top of his lungs)

It became a tradition that got passed down from year to year... after big wins the team would destroy the lockerroom garbage can 🙂
