Granted that despite Retzlaffs development and good play, he has committed key
turnovers or missed the best read at crucial times. A lot has been placed at his feet and he embraces the challenge. He has come through this year with the exception of the last 2 games where unfortunately there just wasn’t room for error on the end of game drives.

My concern for ARods offensive design is that is places a great deal of responsibility on players to make extraordinary plays against the teeth of most defenses, more than it looks to attack a defenses weakness or weakness in the skill of specific players on the opposing defense.

While that is fine when you have All-American caliber players at key positions like Tyler Allgeier or Puka Nacua, that just won’t normally be the case.

Even without NFL talent you can use your best playmakers more than he has been. I still don’t understand why we don’t utilize the short to intermediate throws over the middle with our TE’s.

Coach Sitake just asks for love and learning but I’m curious how much ARod has been able to see where play designs and play calling can be better week to week based on who we play.

I get tired of hearing that every game is just another opponent and we need to focus on what we do and can control … although true, it seems to minimize the fact you DO play a different opponent each week so each week IS different!
