Carpenters played at BYU in the fall of 1976 in MC. We were loud and appreciative. Steve Martin was their opening act,
He tied balloons and told jokes. Believe it or not, the Carpenters didn't return for an encore/curtain call after loud and sustained cheering. I'd never seen that before at a concert. It's been awhile but I remember enjoying Chuck Mangione's performance better
