I thought Protectionism was a policy enacted at the federal level where the Gov't would impose tariffs on foreign goods to ensure that domestic businesses would have a leg-up on foreign competition. I have never heard of Protectionism at a state-level. Does Utah impose taxes that target out of state goods somehow, or am I misunderstanding what you mean by protectionism?
This is an honest question, not an attempt to argue. I am genuinely curious and want to learn more. Just thought I would clarify that because there are some CBers who seem to want to argue all the time about the stupidest things.
