are still popping up. The current owner should get whatever shop fixed the car to fix the codes. It's as simple as that. I wouldn't touch it until that happens.
Even then, I'd be hesitant to buy that car. The entire purpose of a timing chain is they never go bad for the life of the engine. Such a repair is either representative of poor quality by the manufacturer, or something major that went wrong with that engine.
Now, did you say chain when you meant belt, cause that would change things.
