Here’s my anecdote of the week.
Have a 70ish yo patient that spontaneously developed hand dermatitis a few years ago. She’s been to multiple dermatologists and allergists. Tried all number of steroids/biologics/gloves/avoidance but nothing seemed to help. I saw her yesterday and asked about the hands that were 100% healed for her 1st time in years. Turns out over the summer she started going out to a local hot springs in a field and soaking for 10 minutes/day. After a week her years of constant rash was completely gone. Now she goes out once or twice/week to maintain.

Good suggestions in this thread to help your wife though. Don’t immediately discount the naturopath though. If you’ve been in medicine long you’ll find there are conditions that western medicine still has little answers for. Unfortunately this also makes easy money for quacks.
