It’s a lot easier to lose games when half your rotation aren’t competent NBA
players. In the first 1.5 years of the rebuild, the Jazz had a rotation full of guys that belonged in the NBA. Getting rid of those two was the final step of getting the Jazz to where they are this season (and finished last season).
