If Coach Young didn't wanting him shooting that much, it would be known. It's pretty apparent that he wanted Dawson Baker dribbling less (he said as much during interviews) and Baker has been dribbling less. My uneducated guess is that he is letting shoot more in the early season against cupcakes and it will tighten up in conference play.
