I think BYU is just very slow to make offers. They figure LDS kids aren’t going anywhere and they can wait
to see more results and get more data before finalizing who they bring in.
It works for BYU, but it’s really tough for the kids who sit in the 5-12 range of recruits to whom BYU offers mild encouragement (we aren’t saying no, just show us a little more).
