I’m glad that they cleaned house off the terrible leadership, and honestly the athletic department probably deserved much harsher punishments than it got (as far as I remember the sports programs got basically zero punishments, and punishments only happened to individual people and then the federal lawsuit against the school).

But it wasn’t that long ago. The university did a private settlement in September 2023 to end the lawsuit against them.
