because the refs completely ignored obvious holds vs BYU rushers when they brought the house. If you bring the house (which BYU did and should on 3rd and long), and don't get home, it's almost always a big play for the other team, and it was, multiple times.
Those obvious holds were also big, and sustained drives that would have stalled.
And then, the clock mismanagement, spike, and 3 easily predicted east-west runs at the end were other huge point stealing plays.
Point is, there was about 18-25 point swings, (or more), on just a few plays. We got out-coached, out-reffed, out-executed, and out-lucked.
