We were a small private Baptist school in Denver. Most of the teams we played were rural towns with small populations. We definitely did a lot of driving. Fortunately, we were basically in the middle of the state, so we were saved from the crazy-long drives.
For basketball, out home gym was carpeted. I still have scars.
Oh, and our cheerleaders wore skirts that went down to almost their ankles. And dancing was verboten - you could be expelled.
