I don't know anything about Kalani's life before being a BYU football player, but I'm convinced he was a poor kid. I can see it. I can see the face that I see in the mirror in moments when everything is going wrong.
His humility and the obvious vulnerability are so palpable. He's raw. He's unsure of himself. But he's doing it anyway. This is a dude.
