better if people see BYU for what they really are – a really good team with some flaws (like all teams have).

We want the media on BYU's side just in case there is a loss. I've seen media guys defending Georgia's 2 losses, Alabama's loss to Vandy and even Notre Dames's home loss to a bad NIU team. If BYU is perceived as being a contender rather than "a pretender" then they will get a little more mercy when the committee picks teams.

Hopefully, BYU wins the next three games... a tough task, but not as tough as going 9-0.
