How about the 9-way tie of 3-loss teams outline a few posts above?
Then we end up with 9-3 Iowa St. playing 9-3 Kansas St. in the Big 12 title game. Does, say, a 10-3 Kansas St. finish ranked ahead of a 12-1 Boise St. and 13-0 Army?
