It has been much colder in Provo the last two weeks – including today (47 - the warmest in a while). High tomorrow is 49, then 39.....

Being used to the cold can be helpful. Dismissing it is kind of dumb. Nobody says it's going to completely change things. Altitude and time of day are also advantages.
