Sorry, but this is really bad advice
If it's norovirus then everyone in your family throwing up is extremely contagious. You could infect half the flight. The airline knows this. I would call the airline and ask them if you should fly or if they want you to take another flight. I figure if it's their decision then they should move you without cost. I've always found airlines, hotels, etc to be very reasonable if you ask nicely.
