Does the committee go by better team or better resume?
BYU has a good resume right now with a 9-0 record, five road wins, and wins over ranked SMU and Kansas State. They can improve on that resume with wins over ASU and likely Colorado.
But I don't think BYU is better than Georgia or Penn State or Alabama or Tennessee.
Fortunately for BYU they will get the opportunity to prove it on the field and their performance on the field so far has even given them a mulligan which they've never had before.
