That emotional immaturity misled AAPL board to choose John Scully and fire Jobs in 1985. Big Mistake!
We still know so little about what makes great leaders. The dominant variable is and always has been the ability to handle complexity. Great leaders come in all types of personalities. It's not about charisma, being vocal or not, being harsh or softer, being systematic or spontaneous.

He/she does have to be sane, honest, and energetic for me to invest in them.

Crying in meetings, may make people feel awkward, but Jobs was true genius, and the most brilliant young adults wished to be mentored by him.
