On my mission, sisters made a cake and gave it to missionaries at zone
conference. My companion and I didn't want it because we had just been playing sports. I was the DL of these sisters and the one was finishing her mission the next week. She seemed a bit upset that we wouldn't eat any.

The next day we went and visited a family from the branch. I can still see in my mind that cake sitting on the table as they opened to door to us. It was a little green in color (which makes sense now knowing it originally was a yellow cake mix). We couldn't refuse members giving us a treat and it didn't taste bad.

The next morning, I got up to "relieve" myself and everything was coming out blue as can be. This was in Chile. I thought I had caught some foreign disease and shocked to my socks. I stumbled back to my bed to plan my last hours when my companion departed out of the room to make use of the bathroom. The second he returned, his eyes were as large as a cat's at midnight. I don't know how I knew, but instantly I said, "it was that cake!"

Yes, everything had come out blue for him and he was likewise sure he was dying of something. We compared notes and immediately suspected that cake. It came out that the sister made the cake with Methylene Blue and gave it to the whole zone, including the mission president. I never called him to let him know. I just hoped he hadn't suffered as we had when he had the same result. When the sister was foiled in getting us to partake at the conference, they knew we were going to that member's house the next day and set it up with them.
