they've definitely done something creative for tariffs
I used to purchase EXW (no shipping) and then contracted shipping myself.
When I order DDP (delivered, duties paid), the supplier takes care of everything. It's much, much cheaper this way. My guess is they declare *their* costs as the value of the goods. Possibly even their raw material costs. I don't know.
