But, but, PSU beat 4-5 USC on the road by 3 points. On the road!
And they handled Big 12 also-ran 4-4 WVU by a lesser margin than #19 Kansas State.
And, they beat THEN-RANKED Illinois by 7 points MORE than they beat 5-4 Bowling Green (which is apparently in Ohio...who knew?!) That was when Illinois was ranked, man!...and before Illinois was embarrassed in a 31-point loss to Oregon and, like, two weeks before Illinois lost to Minnesota. Illinois is legit - they beat Big 12 powerhouse 2-6 Kansas by 6 points at home.
