Effortless is probably the best way to describe his game and athletic ability
You watch elite level athletes in any sport, and they nearly always have this same trait. In high school I ran track and was in meets where a sophomore from another high school in our conference (I was a senior) was running 10.6s 100M, as a 15yr old sophomore!! We had a senior that ran legit mid 4.4 40yd speed and 10.8ish 100M times. They ran in the same heat at a meet and our guy was just pushing himself for all he was worth and it was clearly visible. The sophomore looked like he was taking a Sunday stroll in the park with Grandma, and smoked our sprinter. His movements were just effortless. Later set the state HS record at 10.2+ as a senior. He got a full-ride fball scholarship to UW and started as a true freshman. Unfortunately he got hurt and never regained his top end speed. He was only able to recover enough to win gold at the Sydney Olympics as the alternate on the 4x400 relay team. True elite athleticism.

Egor, and Catchings, move the same on the court as this kid did on the track. He moves so smoothly and effortlessly, he almost looks slow, even lackadaisical. But you keep watching him and you realize, he isn't slow at all, he just doesn't have to really exert as much because of his elite athleticism, bball IQ and skills. He is so good it takes him half the effort to get to the same spot to shoot. He sees the game and anticipates the game so well he is already a step ahead of the other players, and then his elite athleticism takes it to another level. Jax had a similar feel last year, just so smooth in his movements he almost looked slow. Egor is that and then some. He really could develop into something special. Here's to vain hope that he stays 2 years!! If we get AJ and JJ, and keep either Egor or Catchings (can you imagine having both?!?!) for next year, oh how fun it would be!!
