He got lost a bit on his defensive assignments at times (not surprising, a lot of guys were getting lost, new system and he's a freshman), but his individual defense was excellent. There was a play in the first where a CAU player was in midrange iso, Kanon perfectly cut off the pass then rotated to make the help side block.
Everyone knows he can score, but if he can continue to put in this kind of defensive effort and get a little more sound within the team defense, he's going to be a highly coveted 3&D guy in the draft.
