Kyrie Irving is a PG. Luka Doncic is a PG. Both can dribble, pass, etc. But who runs the point pretty much every play? Luka. It all runs through him. When Luka is out, Kyrie slides over to point guard.
People say, this is modern basketball, you don't have a defined point guard role, etc. But Luka is pretty much the defined point guard and Kyrie is pretty much the defined SG full time even though he's a natural point guard.
Same with Egor and Dallin.
I wouldn't move possibly the best point guard in the country off of that even though Dallin isn't as natural of a shooting guard. The blue-white game, the exhibition game, and our first game the other night, has shown Egor to have superior point guard skills. 11 assists in his first game with a lot of missed shots from teammates. And the blue-white game had Hall at SG and Demin at Point when they were in together.
So in my opinion, demin can play the two but it won't be his main role, and Hall can play point but it won't be his main role.
Hall will be back to point guard next year.
Demin, Hall, Saunders, Catchings, Keita is good lineup.
So is Demin, Saunders, Catchings, Boskovic, Keita. Imo.
Traore will play a lot. Knell/Baker, etc will play. We will see how much once Hall is back.
