Jazz - I don't believe they're as bad as their 1-6 record and point differential suggest. They have played one of the most difficult schedules to start the season and have been playing their young guys a lot of minutes. They've also had Markkanen out for 3 of their 7 games. If not for 3 missed FTs at the end of the Memphis game they'd be 2-5 right now and nobody would be batting an eye with losses to GS, Denver, Dallas, and Sacramento. Their worst loss is to the Spurs. They're competitive with the other teams on the fringe of making a play-in game IMO. We'll see if they can start making shots and stop turning the ball over so much.
lakers - Started hot winning their first 3 games against good teams but have now lost 4 of their last 5 games and AD is out. They've also been playing lebron 35 min/game and AD 36+min/game. Is that sustainable? They also have a crap bench.
Finally, is it just me or does there seem to be more significant injuries occurring early this year?
