is they came against teams not in the SEC/BIG10 but are P4 wins.

If they value our wins as they should have, it gives value to both KSt and SMU. Both these teams IMPO were also screwed over yesterday with the rankings. As was IA St IMPO.

But if you rank them high you also have to give value to BYU's wins. But in the reverse if you rank BYU high, it means the wins were good.

The goal is keep anything not SEC and BIG10 out as much as possible. If you put BYU at say 4-6 it means a loss would still likely keep them in the top 12.

This is the danger in all this and the goal to keep SEC and BIG10. We need as many teams not in those two conferences as high as possible.
