Since it is obvious where Utah's strengths are and how BYU should take them away, how does Utah scheme to exploit stacking the box and jumping the tight end routes? And do they have the guys to do it? Ultimately this dynamic favors the team that is more fundamentally sound in all phases and less predictable.
This is why I feel a sense of quiet confidence going into this game: I believe BYU is better balanced and more well-rounded in all three phases of the game and in both stopping the run and the pass. If the cougs play smart and sound, the big plays will come on both offense and defense and they will pull away at some point in the 2nd or 3rd quarter.
