at the level of astonishing program changing accomplishments as a function of time in the program.
Compared BYU historically (which is not really that bad - many great years in basketball, and an upper tier team with many 20 win seasons, and players like Jimmer, Haws, Ainge, and others:
But here's the numbers in just 7 months for KY in the program:
- BYU has signed 8 x 4* basketball stars since 2004 (not counting since KY arrived, of course) - that's less than 1 x 4* every 2 years on average.
- Since KY arrived 7 months ago, (assuming AJ and JJ sign on - seems likely at this point), BYU will have essentially signed:
2 x 5* top 15 players (Demin and AJ).
-And, depending on how you look at it,
9 x 4 stars (HS=Staton, Burgess, JJ, TP=Mag, Katchings, Koz, Crawford, re-recruit = Hall, and Saunders - both 4* in the TP).
-And in some services, Keita was also a 4*, and Bosko, if given a rating, would likely be at least a 4* also.
-That would make 12 new (including 2 re-recruits) 4 or 5 star signees in only 7 -8 months, after 8 total the previous 20 years.
That, is astounding when compared to previous results for an admittedly already solid winning Div 1 program.
