All decisions are in 'Corporate' hands. Looking to dig up the original warranty to see the fine print.
Checking around it seems the 'buying out' car warranties is becoming more common, especially with Chrysler. Since this has been a long-term issues, perhaps we can negotiate to have a fully repaired/operational vehicle as a condition of the warranty cancelation. However, unless the warranty says otherwise I don't think there is much that can be done.
