Utah State is their in-state game, the one that matches up Utah public
D1 universities. BYU is a national school made up mostly of students from other states and countries, that just happens to be in Utah, so it would be weird to call it "in-state" — kind of like saying that Notre Dame is Purdue's "in-state" game, rather than Indiana.

Being better than BYU is obviously a huge insecurity of his. He has been desperate to leave BYU behind, to the point
