My view of being ranked high now, is it helps stay fairly high if a loss comes.
Staying undefeated would be incredible.
BYU has 1 in 100 experience in going undefeated.
A loss will not ruin the season for me.
My recipe to stay sane as a fan is respect every opponent, appreciate the wins, don't be shattered with a loss. Nearly everyone loses 1 or 2. It'll be ok if it happens.
