If one hasn’t grown up playing rugby, it’s very counter instinctual to lateral
the ball and then get behind the player with the ball.
Players not used to it will lateral and the. Try to cut forward to get the ball (like you would do in soccer, basketball, etc).
It takes some getting used to the mentality of rugby passes.
