I think we'd remember Haarms (& everyone on that team) much more fondly than we do. We had a STACKED team, but we really needed a top-shelf scorer. (Barcello was nice, but was way too small as an off guard. He & BA were a terribly small backcourt, & they were defensively complemented by the likes of SJ (who was not nearly as strong on the SJ who graduated last season). SJ was a great defender between the ears, but in terms of quickness & physicality, he of course left a lot to be desired.
But he was the best we had — & hats off to him for stepping up like he did.
