Unless theres genuine mental illness involved. I think the VAST majority just want attention and at some point most likely realize how stupid theyre acting but by that time many think its too late to turn back. How do you take a leak in a sandbox one day with cat ears on then toss on some normal pants and sit In class like a functional member of society the next day? On the other hand perhaps pulling a George Costanza is their best bet
