you'd be killing off the iconic panoramic mountain view that gets so much praise from visiting media personalities. I don't think it's worth giving up that view. I think it'd be better to do what they gotta do to construct and install stabilized anchor footings/columns on the west side that would allow them to rebuild the whole west side with new and expanded press box and luxury suites complete with a brick facade and so forth. Then close in the corners, at least on the west side, even if that means tearing down and rebuilding the north and south end zones as well, then add in that year around restaurant on the southwest corner. You could then rebuild the east side to include filled in corners there too, but keeping those corners open can also provide more mountain views from various spots within the stadium.
