having any significant drop off in production is a huge luxury too have.
I also think players need to be patient with themselves. If they're an underclassman and not getting regular rotational minutes they need to accept that they're not yet to NBA caliber and/or there's just more experienced and more productive guys ahead of you. All the more reason to return the following year for additional development and try to climb your way up the totem pole then. Once you're an upperclassmen and it still doesn't look like you'll be getting regular rotational minutes, then it probably makes sense to look at transferring where you can be a bigger fish in a smaller pond or find a system that utilizes your strengths better.
