It's possible I'm remembering things entirely wrong, however -
It sure seems like when the election results are up in the air, everyone worries about what will happen with the stock market. And as soon as results are known, the stock market tends to go up.

I've come to the conclusion that the stock market doesn't necessarily favor one candidate over another. But it definitely doesn't like uncertainty. And once the results are known, the stock market tends to respond favorably.

But like I said - I could just be remembering things wrong.
