Loyola Marymount & St. Mary's for example, no seats behind the basket, not a bad seat in the house, makes for a cool look, and adds an element of danger if a player can't stop themselves going hard to the basket you run into a brick wall or out to the parking lot.


The lack of jumbotron in most of the gyms, harkens back to the days of a more pure college basketball when you could not watch replays of cool plays.


The bonus of most of these arenas is that if there is some reason that can't be used, they can call the local high school and not skip a beat.
