OK, I tried to do some more digging on this question, and this is basically what
I have come up with (though it's 2nd hand info at best for me so take it from what it's worth):

1. The CFP will have control over the pricing of the tickets.

2. There will be a visitor ticket allotment designated for the game. I don't know how much it is, but SEC schools are claiming that it's smaller than what the SEC requires teams allot for visiting teams in their conference, so the allotment can't be THAT large.

3. The home team will be in charge of distribution of tickets (so hypothetically BYU could use whatever method they want to distribute - which I think making it a one-off ticket sell using Cougar Club Donation status to set priority is the likely scenario here).

4. All revenues from the ticket sales (minus a stipend to cover game day expenses) will be turned over to the CFP as part of the total revenue distribution package for all teams involved in the playoff.
