My father gave me his pre 64 model 70, 30-06 featherweight a few years ago.
He said he only shot one or two boxes of ammo with it. I looked up the serial number found it was made in 1958. Its a beautiful gun thats in perfect condition and very fun to shoot. I've had a couple gunsmiths tell me they would have a long list of people wanting to buy it if it were for sale. They recommend I keep it, shoot it, and have fun with it. That's what I have done. It is very accurate and I have had success hunting with it.
