Eddie Intervention Needed
Three weeks?
Mind you - there's installing an offense and then there's installing a game plan for a certain team.

They had to play last week - and I don't think we saw all that many new offensive plays. I'm not sure that they decided it was OK to lose to Houston in order to surprise BYU. If they had new plays to use that they thought would work, they would've used them.

I said one week because if they are installing a new offense, that would've been during the bye week. Then on game week they are installing a game plan that implements the new offense.

Frankly - as I said before - if they installed a brand new offense and are going to pull it out against BYU, that just increases my confidence. What are the chances that in the last two weeks they've practiced a new offense enough that all of the players who have been screwing up the old offense will now know how to get into position, the OL will have understanding of the blocking schemes, the ineffective QB will suddenly know how to run plays, etc.?

Adding some wrinkles or some new runs or passing routes with their existing plays - sure, they could do that. But so will BYU. But an entirely new offense? Bring it. They'll get beat even worse than they were going to when they're trying to figure out the new blocking schemes and BYU's defense hits them with some new wrinkles of their own.
