I"m sure BYU coaches would be much classier than me and agree that X coach would be considered a legend. But that's coach speak. Let's be real that KtWhitt only took Utah to Rose Bowl losses as his only real "accomplishments," which, in the pantheon of accomplishments, is the tiniest footnote in CFB history.
It's not like he revolutionized the CFB world with the forward pass or is the last non-traditional power to win a Natty or ever even coached a Heisman. Any of those by themselves wouldn't make a coach a "legend," let alone accomplishing zero of them.
KtWhitt will never be anything but a legend to yewts and nobody else.
