affiliation for BYU at that point (he had played football for Hawaii), but IIRC he said his wife was wearing a BYU coat/jacket. He said it was awful (though I don't remember most of the details). He said the the thing that made him angriest was when his wife tried to go to the restroom and there were Utah fans outside the women's restroom gatekeeping and not letting BYU fans in.
I do think Utah has made a better effort at improving the experience since then, so I would be surprised if it's nearly as bad as it used to be, but for at least a little while, it was horrible.
