If they leave out an 11-1 BYU with 2 wins over teams in the top 25 at the end of
regular season, they throw any legitimacy the new 12 team playoff has right out the window.
I'm not saying it won't happen, but if SMU and K State both finish the year with at least 10 wins, there will be little chance they can sell the idea that there are 7 more teams with a better resume.
