We know that Wilson cannot consistently move the chains. Were there 4 missed screen passes last night. I think 2 or 3 of them were bad 10 yard, easy throws by Wilson. There were at least 2 others that were dropped by receivers. Point is Wilson, for whatever reason, cannot consistently complete the most simple pass in football. That will affect an offense's ability to consistently move the chains.
I'm assuming Rose is going to start and he'll have 2 weeks of 1st team reps (Wilson starting at this point would be akin to calling timeouts at the end of the game when the other team only has 2 play calls and has a bad kicker and is desperately trying to get 10 more yards to get within the career long of aforementioned kicker so who knows🤷♂️). The lowdown on him is he can make the throws but can't read the defense. The offense COULD look much different than the one we've seen the last 4 weeks simply because you have someone who can make simple throws (and can actually walk but I digress). With our old defense I'd feel much more nervous about an unknown backup QB who can't read a defense but I'm less nervous thanks to Jay Hill.
Because of 2005, 2006, 2007...ok the whole Bronco Mendenhall era, I'll never make absolute statements about "knowing" anything about Utah based on games leading up to the Rivalry game.
I still agree the recipe is there for a big win though; however, I'll believe it when I see it.
