Morgan Scalley is a good man and fellow member of the church. If he used the N word the way that many on here claim he did then he would have lost the entire team, most if not all of the staff and more importantly — his job. Because the situation was explained with proper context, it was understood that he did not use the N word in a racist way but instead used it with a fellow black coach in a moment where he became too comfortable in what he thought was a private text chat with an old friend — unfortunately for Morgan he mixed up his text conversations and it was sent without context.
The dude made a mistake, he owned it, he apologized, he felt terrible and is trying to move on — it’s disappointing that not only are BYU fans perpetuating a false account of what actually happened but are also not allowing him to be forgiven and let the situation move on.
