Cougarclaw Intervention Needed
Have to wonder if a union boss sees this as an ideal time to strike.
they're not after the health of the hand that feeds them or working together to achieve business success. This is a win-lose negotiation and always will be. Unions are after deep, deep concessions regardless of the businesses' competitiveness or ability to survive. Best time to get concessions is when your counterparty is desperate and weak; which is now.

10% of the Freight market was run by a company called YRC. Company was struggling and the union went on strike. The business tried to explain they couldn't afford what was being demanded and the Unions response was "it's not our fault management can't run the company well" so management conceded to the demands. Weeks later, they went bankrupt, closed the company and everyone lost their jobs. Union boss interviews afterwards indicated a complete lack of accountability for their role in the company's demise or the fact they had lose the jobs of every one of their members. I have no reason to expect Boeing would be any different.

Another reason to despise unions
